How to check your examination photo’s actual file size

An official recruitment notification is the only reliable source for the document rules that apply to your application. Read the particular notification, not a generic requirement for the examination authority.

Pixel dimensions describe an image’s width and height. File size describes its encoded bytes. A 300 × 400 image can be 20 KB or 200 KB depending on image content and compression. This site uses 1 KB = 1,000 bytes for its numeric controls.

Choose the format allowed by your official notice, resize and crop to the required dimensions, then optimize the encoded file. Check the final actual file size, not a rounded estimate. Never invent a date of photography or alter features that the notice prohibits.
